Last week I came across Pacific Weddings Magazine‘s Love Notes Blog and saw that they were giving away 1 free ticket to attend Jill La Fleur‘s Workshop in Maui, Hawaii. The instructions were to just add a comment to the post to be automatically entered into the draw! Here’s a clip of my comment along with a few others. Note: there were about 100 comments just on this site alone… not to mention the FB comments, Jill La Fleur comments, tweets, etc!
So, what’s the harm right?! A $2200 workshop for free?! OK! Sign me up!!! So I entered a comment and thought about it almost incessantly. Here’s a clip of my comment along with a few others. A couple of days later, I turned to Lannon and asked him if he would be upset at me if I won (and went without him knowing that he would not be able to accompany me). He said “No” but he would be extremely jealous!!!
2 days later, I looked at my phone and saw 3 missed calls from Hawaii. I didn’t think much of it because of all of the telemarketer calls I get from all over the place, plus I have some friends on the Big Island. I listened to the 1 voice msg I had on my from. It was from Robyn I’aea, Editor of Pacific Weddings Magazine. She was calling to congratulate me on winning the ticket to Jill La Fleur’s next workshop in Maui!!!
I called Lannon right after I heard the msg and asked him to please not be mad at me. He said “You WON!!!” We could not believe it! He totally encouraged me to go! I think he is a little jealous. I am so grateful to be married to such a wonderful & supportive man. xoxo luv u babe!
When I got home, I turned on my computer to find tons of msgs flooding my social media congratulating me on my win:

Die begnadete Event-Designerin Jill la Fleur und die beiden genialen Fotografinnen Christine und Vania vonSimply Bloom Photography beschlossen mitten im Winter ein sommerliches Hochzeitsshooting auf Oahu auf Hawaii zu gestalten, und somit der Kälte zu entfliehen.
Seht selbst das himmlische Ergebnis! Wir sind total verzückt und überglücklich euch diese wunderschönen Bilder zeigen zu dürfen.
Jill’s Kreativität ist grenzenlos und ihr Fingerspitzengefühl für Farben und kleine Details ist immer wieder erstaunlich.
Am Sandstrand stellte sie ein hübsches Tipi auf und gestaltete mit hellrosa und türkisblauen Farben, mit Korallen, blauem Glas, einem hübschen Webteppich und bequemen Kissen einen romantischen und intim gedecktes Plätzchen.
Dazu designte Chelsea Petäjä zauberhafte Papeterie.
Das Brautkleid von Romona Keveza ist einfach hinreißend und harmoniert perfekt mit der Dekoration.
Genial finden wir auch den alten VW Bus, der das Gesamtbild abrundet.
Und …. einfach überirdisch schön sind die weichen und sanften Bilder von Simply Bloom Photography-sie lassen alle hochzeitsbegeisterte Herzen höher schlagen.
